| In the age of globalization,the relationship between China and the world is becoming more and more close,and the perceptions of being international of Chinese citizens are also getting more and more attention.A person’s perception of being international is gradually formed,so we should develop proper perceptions of being international from a young age.This study surveyed the perceptions of being international of the senior grades students in Suzhou New District Golden Primary School respectively from the international experience and international-mindedness,parental experience and behavior and cross-cultural concept and behavior of three dimensions.By collecting and analyzing the data of the questionnaire and interviews,this research tries to investigate the formation and influencing factors of primary school students’ perceptions of being international,and to explore the effective ways for developing proper perceptions of being international.This study mainly used literature analysis,questionnaire method,interview method and statistical analysis method.The results indicate that the overall situation of students’ perceptions of being international is good.There are many factors that influence students’ perceptions of being international.Among these factors,overseas experience and foreign friends have the largest effect on students’ perceptions of being international.The students who have overseas experience or foreign friends obviously have better perceptions of being international than the ones who don’t have.Except overseas experience and foreign friends,family environment,school education activities,news media reports and other factors also have significant impacts on the formation of the primary school students’ perceptions of being international.We should cultivate the students’ correct perceptions of being international from the three aspects of the school,family and society and students themselves.Schools should strive to build a systematic education curriculum system of perceptions of being international;families and the mass media should strengthen the correct guidance of primary school students’ perceptions of being international;students themselves should establish a sense of world citizenship,etc. |
