| Guangdong province swimming team has always been a good team. There were lots of excellent athletes in history, for example Zeng Qiliang, Zhou Jiawei, Liu Yu, Xie Xufeng and so on. They had obtained good result whatever in national or international competition. Nowadays, Guangdong province swimming team is also not lack of excellent athletes for example Yu Hexin, Liu Xiang, He Jianbin, Wang Xue’er and so on. All of them have occupied an important place in Chinese swimming competition.However, recently years, Guangdong province swimming team has not performed very well. In the 9th National Games, Guangdong has got 13 gold medals. But in the 10 th National Games, Guangdong has only got 3 gold medals. And in the 12 th National Games, 2013, Guangdong has even not got any gold medal. And Guangdong has not got good grades in National Championship each year. Why a strong team has been getting weak? What are the problems in Guangdong province swimming team? These are main questions we research in this article.In this paper, by studying the related literature at home and abroad; Combining the internship experience in Guangdong province swimming team; National coaches to discuss related problems; Collect foreign cutting-edge research results, in view of the problems in competitive swimming training in Guangdong were studied. Hope can through the analysis of existing problems in the Guangdong, comparing with domestic and foreign advanced training technology, finding out the deficiency of Guangdong athletics swimming training, and through the research, put forward the scientific and reasonable solution, on the basis of the original training theory, put forward the improvement opinion, to solve the questions and deficiencies on Guangdong competitive swimming training method, to find a bridge connecting the distance between theory and practice, for competitive swimming training in Guangdong province has a definite guiding significance.
