The Research On Project Management Process Of 'Peak Cup' Public Basketball Competition In Quanzhou

In recent years, with the improvement of material and cultural life, people in Qu anzhou have more continuous requirements for physical fitness and interest in sports. By participating in a variety of sporting events and developing interests and good hab its is an important way to enhance quality of people's life and physical fitness.In this context, demand of people in Quanzhou for all types of sporting events is increasing, so as enthusiasm for participation.At present sports in Quanzhou can be divided into two major categories including athletic sports and mass sports.The latter one is with characteristics of wide coverage, many participants and strong influence on society, c ulture,politics, economics,tourism and environment of Quanzhou.According to ‘strea mline administration and institute decentralization' proposed by National higher sport s institutions, marketization of mass sports has been gradually achieved, more new co ntent incorporated and some unique characteristics shown.However, there appeared s ome new problems in the process, such as incomplete integrity of host organizations, lacking of creation of sports project or brand competitions,insufficient use of commer cial space,lacking of standardisation of sports process operation and poor unawarenes s of risk control, etc. Therefore, it is an urgent unsolved problem to sports researchers how to deal with these problems above to make the utmost use of mass sports busines s value and social effect.Based on previous researches, this article is to conclude and explain the concept,classification and characteristics of mass sports and introduce the fundamental situati on of mass sports in Quanzhou. Meanwhile, ‘Peak Cup' public basketball competition in Quanzhou was seen as a research object and project which was analysed with theo ry of project life cycle and process of project management.The research results reveal ed that process management of ‘Peak Cup' public basketball competition in Quanzho u can be divided into four stages, including programming,organization,implementatio n and controlling. The planning and demonstration of competition are emphasised dur ing programming,arrangement and division of competition assignment during organi sation,while implementation and enforcement emphasised during the period of imple mentation,assessment,feedback and adjustment during controlling.Finally, the dyna mic monitoring in the implementation process of ‘Peak Cup' public basketball compe tition in Quanzhou is a key part to the whole process of competition, which can show us various unexpected issues in the process. Then with strategy and object adjusted o n time, the smooth implemetation of competition can be assured.
