This thesis aims to analyze the workbooks of Chinese Paradise(English edition) and New Parade, both compiled for 6 to 12 years old children by classifying, describing and analyzing horizontally and vertically.Through the comparison, it is revealed that both workbooks' predominant intelligences are linguistic, spatial and logic-mathematical, while musical and naturalist intelligences are the least and interpersonal intelligence shares similar proportion. However, other intelligences' distributions vary a lot. As for the intelligences co-occurrence, English workbooks better involve multiple intelligences especially due to its 5and 6 intelligences co-occurrence. Vertically, English workbooks also better conform to the law of children's cognitive development and language acquisition.Regarding these problems, this thesis provides some suggestions on compiling practice activities for the new workbook edition of Chinese Paradise(English Edition) and other Chinese workbooks.
