In recent years, network technology has been widely used in teaching. Micro class is becoming a major concern. Searching for the CNKI, there were only 16 theses about micro class of elementary education before 2015, but much less study on micro class of English vocabulary teaching has been done in junior middle schools. Therefore, it is necessary to do the empirical research on it. This study aims to make an exploration into the effect and student's attitude towards the micro class of English vocabulary teaching in junior middle school.The subject is 100 students from two parallel class of grade eight in NO.4 middle school of Yan'an. The teaching method applied in experimental classes is video viewing-consolidating-reviewing after class, meanwhile, the teaching method applied in control classes is reading- explaining- memory- dictation. The teaching case has exhibited the experimental processes of the vocabulary teaching. The data of test, questionnaire and interview is to study the effect and the student's attitude towards the micro class of English vocabulary teaching. After collecting data, the descriptive and means analysis are dealt with through SPSS20.0.The main results of this study are as follows:(1) After the experiment, the test score of the experimental class is higher than that of control class. However, there is no significant difference.(2) The concepts of vocabulary learning in experimental class are much better than that of control class, there is significant difference between them, in the aspect of images and language situation. As for strategies of vocabulary memory, there is significant difference between the experimental class and the control class, in the aspect of performance, setting up the net of semantics, creating imagination and the cultural background etc.(3)Subjects of interview support the micro teaching method and they hope this kindof teaching method can be used in the later teaching.(4) In theory, the micro class displays language situation, enhances the ability to use language, realizes the interaction between the left and right brain, and stimulates the students' learning potential.Through this study, we can draw conclusion the micro teaching method and the traditional way are both effective in the aspect of students' score. In addition, micro teaching method improves concepts and strategies of vocabulary learning.
