In the field of second language acquisition, the factors which impact learner learning difference are: intelligence, personality, acquisition ability, language learning strategies, learning styles and learning attitude and so on. Domestic and abroad researchers conduct various studies on personality and learning strategies, but the correlation between learning strategies, personality and achievement is not yet mature,and subjects of the studies are mostly college students and senior school students.Therefore, study of correlation between personality, English learning strategies and English achievement for junior high school students is necessary to explore.In this study, it chooses 225 junior students for research subjects in Shi Yan junior high school in Shaanxi Province, two questionnaires and Mid-term English achievement are employed to carry on the study, New Curriculum Learning Strategies questionnaire is to investigate learners' frequency for using learning strategies, Eysenck personality questionnaire is used to observe learners' personality trait, data use SPSS17.0 and Excel2003 to process and analysis. Firstly, study analyzes the current situation and difference of learners' personality trait, and the situation for learners' using of learning strategies in junior school, and then explores the correlation between the three factors. Research results show that:(1)There are three kinds of personality trait in junior school students, the largest number is ambivert, next is extrovert, and introvert is the least one.(2)The frequency of English learning strategies for extrovert, ambivert and introvert is medium, extrovert get the highest level in using English language strategies, next is ambivert, and introvert is the last one. In the using of cognitive, control, communicative,resource strategies, three kinds of personality trait are better in resource strategies,extrovert is bad in communicative strategies, ambivert and introvert are bad in control strategies. And there is significant difference in employing English strategies fordifferent personality trait, especially cognitive, control and resource strategies.(3) Extrovert's achievement is the best one in the three kinds of personality trait,next is introvert, and ambivert is the last one. There is no significant difference for extrovert, ambivert and introvert in English performance.(4) There is no significant correlation between extrovert, ambivert, introvert and English strategies and English achievements. For the correlation between English strategies and achievement, English strategies are significant correlated to English achievement for ambivert, but there is no significant correlation between English strategies and achievement for extrovert and introvert.Thus, teachers should considerate the difference of learners' personality, and pay stress on guiding developing learners' learning strategies, encourage learner to know their own personality trait and situation for using learning language strategies, so as to improve their comprehensive language ability.
