Since there are numerous nationalities in Hebei province, it is obvious that different levels exist in local economy, cultural education and development of sports. As a capital city, Shi jia zhuang is a multiethnic city with much non-native population. Facing with this situation, it is very significant to conduct school-based curriculums in middle schools. Thus, the author studied related literature and made a survey in order to get the first-hand information on courses of national traditional sports in middle schools in Shijiazhuang and the Middle School Attached to Hebei Normal University. Then the author could make further research on the significance and the problems, which can provide more suggestions on how to design a proper curriculum for national traditional sports.The author have made a research on the development of national traditional sports as school-based curriculum in the Middle School Attached Hebei Normal University by using literature method, questionnaire method, mathematical statistics, individual cases analysis and logical analysis. The subjects are 500 students and 12 teachers, and all of them are in the Middle School Attached to Hebei Normal University. From analysis of data, the conclusions came to be: 1. Shuttlecock course could apply a supplement of original courses, which is good for the development of special curriculum and additional choices for exercise of students as well as professional development of teachers; 2. Since there are a lot to do with the management of how to design and carry on a proper curriculum for national traditional sports, it requires a complete system of management and curriculum for national traditional sports courses; there should be more cooperation and communication between physical teachers; and physical teachers should be given more theoretical knowledge and technical guidance. All of them become constrain factors to the development of national traditional sports as a school-based curriculum. According the detailed analysis of the result, the author attempted to provide suggestions: 1. The concept of curriculum should be updated; 2. Professional knowledge and skills should be enhanced by physical teachers; 3. Specialists need more training and curriculum resources need to be widely shared; 4. Management organization should be set up and relationship between development of curriculum and teaching should be bound firmly.
