Abstract/Summary:
School-based curriculum is an important part of the curriculum system of our country. To study and exploit the school-based curriculum is a significant step of the curriculum reform in our country. More and more educators have recognized that it is the urgent requirements for teachers’ development and students’ special abilities revealing to develop the School-based curriculum. It is also an important way to promote the reform of basic education in China and realize the three-level curriculum management. Many problems gradually revealed and were wildly concerned in the process of school-based curriculum implementation.On the basis of domestic and foreign research, this paper investigated the school-based curriculum development and management of Hebei Wuan No. 1 middle school using observation, case analysis and interview method, etc. I investigated the background, theoretical basis, principles, and goals of the school-based curriculum development. I continue to give a brief account of the school-based curriculum management in the Wuan No. 1 middle school and it really takes some effects.Through shaping and analyzing the results, we discuss the main problems such as Curriculum management is lack of standardization, teachers’ curriculum development ability is insufficient, it is lack of cooperation in curriculum implementation etc. We analyze its reasons and try to gives some feasible suggestions. The researcher hopes it can provide some reasonable basis for the exploitation of the school-based curriculum in ordinary middle schools.
