This thesis aims to discover the rules about how the new media impacts college students' values and the methods of values education about how to respond to these impacts. It also try to seek how to achieve a successful interaction between the new media and the education activities of college students' values. It would help to promote college students to form their values in perspective and propel the development in a scientific way. For the purpose of carrying out the relative research activities, four methods have been mainly used in the thesis: Literature Research, Questionnaires Method, Qualitative Analysis and Inductive Analysis.Firstly, it defines two key conceptions accurately and completely: New Media and Values. Then, it analyzes the positive and negative impacts on the values which are caused by new media objectively and dialectically. Next, it explores the reasons why new media makes positive and negative impacts on the values rationally and penetratingly. In the end, it root and branch suggests several countermeasures for avoiding a situation about the negative impacts by new media.The results of researches have showed that college students are led to the individuation of target values, the multiplicity of value means and the self-adjustment of value evaluation.They are respectively precipitated by the equality of new media subjects, the pluralism of new media views and the interaction of new media information. New media has been able to produce such positive impacts on college students' values,because the depth of the basic characteristics of new media fit the groups characteristics of college students. The rich functionality of new media can fully meet their legitimate needs. And the culture memes of new media builds their awareness of the values actively.It also found that the complexity of new media content, the privacy of new media terminal and the symbolism of new media space resulted in the fragmentation of college students' values for cognition, the distortion of college students' values for judgments and the anomie of college students' values for option. New media has been able to produce such negative impacts on college students' values, because the run-mode of new media has a serious interference in college students' thinking patterns. And the virtual realityactivities have deeply dissimilated their actual activities. Besides, the imitational environment of new media has seriously disrupted college students' value recognition. To Strengthen the education and guidance of new media to college students' values, the thesis puts forward some countermeasures: First, transmit spiritual resources of new media efficiently through innovating the transmission mode and mastering the transmission skills of spiritual resources. It would provide protection for leading college students' values exactly. Secondly, purify culture environment of new media industriously through increasing the supervision and promoting the self-renewal of culture environment. It would presuppose that college students will build their awareness of the values actively. Thirdly, set up an educational discourse of new media carefully through improving the level of evaluation and enhancing humanistic care of educational discourse. It would lay a solid foundation for college students to improve their correct value recognition effectively.
