At present, China's basic education reform focus on cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability and roundly putting quality oriented education into effect. That is also the one of the fundamental tasks of the educational reform in the new century. How to improve students' learning efficiency, in other word- effective learning is one of the most concerned topics. Effective learning is a relative term- it ranges from invalid to effective learning. It expands students' content of knowledge, which based on their original basic knowledge.There is an obvious improvement in a certain learning stage. In order to learn high school students' learning efficiency in math, this paper does a survey of high school students' learning efficiency in mathematics. Details are as follows:The first chapter introduces the purpose and significance of effective learning. We learn from the constructivist learning theory and humanistic learning theory to discuss effective learning, giving the definition and characteristics of effective learning.The second chapter is mainly expound the previous theories about effective learning, this paper respectively discuss the point from two aspects- the domestic research on effective learning and effective learning abroad.The third chapter is a high school students' questionnaires in haikou city, find out the cause of students' low learning efficiency in learning mathematics through the analysis of the questionnaire, induction and summary, and put forward measures to improve their learning efficiency. After investigation, we learn that the preview before class, reinforcement learning after class and summarizing of type problem are of great significance. Autonomous learning before class is based on students themselves. It emphasizes on the students' learning initiative,and it laid the foundation for lifelong education. Reinforcement learning after class is a process of observing and rethinking the behavior to themselves and others. It forces you to recall and rethink what has happened, to look at problems from a new angle, and finally to improve their logical thinking ability. Cooperating with others and carrying on the cooperative learning group can deepen the knowledge, learning method and mathematical thinking logic in math. Students absorb, process and collect the content, which teacher said in the class, and then transform them into their own knowledge. In this way, they can improve their own level of mathematical culture.The fourth chapter is teaching case analysis and the feedback from students' reaction through the interpretation of the teacher in class. It shows that we can judge the learning effeciency by observing students' reaction. To ensure the authenticity of the conclusion, wewill analyze the data. We observe whether the students' attention is focused, whether we can find ways to make students actively to involve in class, to actively think and answer questions,to communicate with teachers? Learning effect directly affects students' learning efficiency.
