"Song of a Pi-pa Player" is a classic poem in the compulsory Chinese textbook and it is one of the most important texts in reading teaching. In the Chinese reading teaching classroom, how to interpret the text with a multi-angle and have a better adaptation with Chinese teaching design is the matter which the Chinese teachers should consider in the teaching activities. Therefore, this paper is a tentative teaching design proposal based on the author's years' of teaching experience, aiming at solving the problem of "breaking away from the text" during Chinese teaching activities, under the latest concept of the new curriculum reform, according to the requirements of "Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(test)". It takes the creative background and the emotional content as the entry point in appreciating and interpreting the poetry writing and art appreciation, so as to optimize the teaching design of "Song of a Pi-pa Player".This thesis mainly includes two parts, text interpretation and teaching design.In terms of text interpretation, based on relative theories like text intensive reading theory and text hierarchy theory, this thesis has a horizontal and vertical analysis for the "Song of a Pi-pa Player" from perspectives of emotional implication, poetic expression and the art objective.and so on. It's music description, environment configuration and art structure, are practical. And innovative highlighting the poet superb artistic ideas and aesthetic taste.In terms of teaching design, this paper gives a full consideration to the actual situation of the students in accordance with the requirement of "Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(test)", and highlights the focus of teaching in improving student's ability of reading and appreciating in poetry by using the designing idea of "teacher-oriented, student-centered" and the teaching strategy of "creating situations to stimulate interests, listening to have the comprehension", "tasting by reading, appreciating by ruminating", "vertical thinking, personality playing". And this paper tries to design tentatively a whole teaching design with the application of means of "quoting stories, inspire interests", "perceived text, understanding content", "enjoying the taste, sentiment the scene", "personality expression, expanding and extension", "summarizing, simplifying", in practical teaching process.
