| Political life is one of the crucial parts of social life. For citizens, participating in political life sequentially is not only the right they are entitled to, the obligation they should fulfill, but also the required abilities. In addition, political life is part of the fundamental right for our citizens, which requires cherishment and esteem from everyone.As new generation of youth in China, senior high school students should attach importance to their own political rights and exercise their rights actively, as well as fulfill their political obligations well. However, because most of the senior high school students are juveniles who are inevitably influenced by both psychological and physiological factors, they can’t exercise their political right well, although they are members of Chinese citizens. In reality, the primary mission for senior high school students is study, they are more likely to fulfill obligations rather than exercise right. They are indifferent to their own political rights which seems far away from them and beyond their consideration. They think that it’s useless to participate in political right. Hence, in order to make senior high school students become eligible socialist citizens, constructors of socialist political civilization of China and supervisors of the construction of legal system in China. We should try to get them to recognize the right they are entitled to and the obligation they should fulfill. Education on political rights should be gradually introduced into daily life and school education so as to cultivate students’ consciousness of political rights.The paper includes the cultivation of high school students’ consciousness of political rights as main study object. By using the relevant outstanding achievement at home and abroad for reference, this paper firstly expounded the significance, contents and necessity of cultivating high school students’consciousness of political rights. On the basis of that, by consulting relevant literature and making analysis and summary as well as conversation between teachers and students, we find that it’s not ideal in terms of the attainment of high school students’consciousness of political rights. Although they have some knowledge of political right, it’s still unpractical for them to exercise political right actively and become eligible citizens. Based on the analysis, school education, family education and self-knowing are the main factors which result in the student’ weak consciousness of practical right. Confront with this situation, I put forward some effective strategries to enhance the cultivition of senior high school students’ consciousness of political rights. Firstly, we should start with educational concepts, it’s necessary to innovate current educational concepts and teaching methods so as to scientize classroom teaching; secondly, we should pay more attention to democratic atmosphere in family and the significance of parental political attainment for their children, because family is the first school for students and parents are their first teachers. Last but not least, it’s essential that students should study hard and confirm political practice. By the above measures, I hope that we can cultivate senior high school students’consciousness of political rights more effectively, thereby lay the foundation of becoming eligible citizens who have political accomplishment for the students. |
