Developing higher order thinking ability is the core of promoting learners’ development. Higher order thinking ability is a mental activity that occurs at higher cognitive levels. The foreign researchers generally recognize the analysis, evaluation and creation of the three kinds of Bloom’s cognitive classification target. In the course of teaching, the development of these three levels, it is equivalent to the development of the students’ high order thinking ability. And the higher order thinking ability how to reflect in the learner? How to evaluate the training of higher order thinking? This study based on the junior high school chemistry experiment, using the literature review method and investigation method to study the characteristics of high order thinking ability of students and different levels of students’ behavior performance, and based on this to get higher order thinking evaluation index system.First, this study referred the present situation of higher order thinking training and the cultivation of thinking in chemistry, and analyzed and studied the theory of cognitive classification and higher order thinking training of Bloom’s target. AndNext, based on the research of higher order thinking, the level of thinking in junior high school chemistry curriculum standard is defined, and the high order thinking ability of students is analyzed from the three aspects of curriculum objectives, described in chemistry discipline senior thinking action verbs.Further, this study chose the observation method and interview method to study the characteristics of the high order thinking ability of middle school students. Changchun City, the first zero three middle school chemistry classroom, with the class of not less than 20, according to the teaching activity process to observe the behavior of the students of different levels of higher order thinking ability of the behavior performance that is outside the characteristics, each lecture observation results are detailed records and analysis, and the school chemistry teacher in time, detailed record of valuable experience and advice, to provide sufficient information for the following analysis.Then, this study summarized the contents of the survey and interviews, and summarized the behavior of students of different levels of thinking skills, summarized the characteristics of different levels of high order thinking skills, and marked the analysis, evaluation and creation of Bloom’s cognitive classification. Made of two dimensional table, the design of teaching activities for teachers and observation of the high order thinking ability of students to provide convincing reference.Finally, according to the results of previous research, this subject, select the dimension and index terms, and use expert method to design the evaluation index system.
