Inquiry teaching model of cooperation is presented in the recent curriculum, It have been widely used in all kinds of disciplines, In the traditional teaching mode, students listen to their teacher, Learning is a single individual activities, There is no cooperation and mutual assistance between the students. The old model is outdated under the promotion to enhance students' overall quality, Cooperative inquiry teaching mode change the way of teacher's teaching, teachers are no longer leaders, they are participants, the duty of teachers is to stimulate students' initiative in learning, Learning is a autonomous knowledge construction procedure of students.Cooperative inquiry teaching model can develop students spirit of innovation, the spirit of exploration, it can stimulate students' interest in learning and build a democratic relationship between teachers and students, we can see a harmonious atmosphere in the classroom.Currently, most of music teachers put forward their point of view towards Group Cooperative Inquiry learning, but their research are not comprehensive, There exist several questions in practice, which bring difficulties to music teachers' teaching.This paper used the research questionnaire, literature, interviews and other methods, including six chapters in total.The first part is the background, purpose, significance and research methods of the thesis.The second chapter is the theoretical part, which introduce the theory of cooperative inquiry and compare cooperation model with traditional model. The third chapter mainly discourse the significance of this new mode in primary school music teaching, the characteristics and theoretical structure of this mode. The forth chapter is the investigation and analysis on the current situation of this mode's application in primary music education, take three schools in Shanggao county of Jiangxi Province for example. The fifth chapter propose several problems on the basis of preliminary investigation. The six chapter give the preliminary consideration on the strategy of Cooperative inquiry teaching mode. The last chapter is the conclusion and suggestions.
