In June 2001, the Ministry of Education promulgated the "basic education curriculum reform program(for Trial Implementation)" to encourage the relevant agencies to compile textbooks in primary and secondary schools according to the national curriculum standards, and to achieve a variety of teaching materials. The four geography books by People Education Press, China's Map Press, Shandong Education Press and Hunan Education Press have been passed, and have put into trial use.With the 30 years of reform and opening up, the economy achieved rapid growth,China's urbanization is also obtained the rapid development, urbanization level increased significantly. However, with urbanization sustained rapid development to urban employment, resources, the environment has brought tremendous pressure. In the process of urbanization, it has a variety of environmental problems, population and resources, which has seriously restricted the sustainable development of our country's economy. Geography textbooks as a student understanding of geography,understanding of the city's a window, it is the form of knowledge of the geography of the students to understand the knowledge and teachers to impart knowledge.This article is based on the high school teaching material city geography, with the curriculum standard as the basis, the four versions of the textbook of high school geography compulsory second two chapter of the content of comparative analysis,understand the characteristics of their respective preparation. This study is divided into five parts: The first part introduces the background and significance of the study,using the literature method and comparative method to analyze the four versions of the textbook. The second part is the theoretical basis of this study. The third part is the structure of the surface of the textbook, through comparative analysis found that the editions of the column style has the certain innovation and in the knowledge of the contents of the interspersed with a large number of pictures, operating system set up many inquiry activities, and to exercise the thinking ability of the students. But wealso found the China's map press are too many columns, layout picture of a small number of Hunan Education press, taught version of geographic practice set less. The fourth part is the deep structure of the teaching material analysis, comparison, it is found that the textbooks in the presentation of content knowledge has a different arrangement of ideas, through the effective combination of the system, students of geography science inquiry ability and geography practice ability won the good promotion, but was also found Shandong Education Press edition for the curriculum standard knowledge covering issues such as incomplete. The fifth part is the conclusion of this study and the results of the study on the preparation of teaching materials and teachers put forward relevant suggestions.
