With the development of science and technology and mathematics itself, the basic knowledge of statistics and probability has become a common sense of citizens, from profound scientific research to people's daily life, statistics everywhere. Promulgated in 2001 "full-time compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard (experiment draft)" for the first time statistics and probability" as a complete knowledge section into the elementary school mathematics curriculum, and in the curriculum of "design thinking" clearly put forward the development of students'statistical concepts. Therefore, the study of statistics and probability contents of teaching in primary schools has profound practical significance.During the study, the author as action researchers, first of all existing sorts through related literature summary, statistics and probability to determine this study obtained from expectation, implementing course, course from three aspects. Expected course mainly analyzs "curriculum standard" and different versions of textbooks, the implementation of curriculum mainly adopts action research method, it is mined here the third elementary school sixth grade students with teaching practice as the research object, USES the questionnaire survey, the class and a survey of students' cognition of statistics and probability contents.Through research, the author draws the following conclusion:1. Through the expected course of study, has been clear about the primary stage of the value of "statistics and probability" teaching is to cultivate the students' concept of data analysis, determining the teaching content is the focus of the basic concepts of statistics and probability, the difficulty is through statistical activities, training students' concept of data analysis.2. By implementing course of study, the author thinks that before the students experience the process of data processing, first of all should be at various stages of data collection involved clear knowledge, students only learned the method of collecting data, understand the chart describes what data need to learn to analyze data, to complete the whole process of data processing. In the concrete teaching process, the knowledge should be from simple to complex, the interpretation of local first, then the overall, do progressive transformation, to make students better understand and grasp.3. The study of the class and adopt the method of test and questionnaire, from the point of the results of the survey, the students master the basic concepts of statistics and probability, but in specific statistical activities, students' statistical consciousness and ability to apply the data needs to be improved.The author in the expectation of course, the implementation of programmes and research found in the process of "statistics and probability" content the problems in the teaching process, and rethink to solve these problems, combining his own practice experience and the interview with the first-line teachers put forward some Suggestions, in order to a gleam of elementary school mathematics teachers to provide a reference.
