Since English teaching began, the study of English grammar teaching has always been an important issue in the study of English teaching. In traditional grammar teaching class, the teacher always teaches English grammar through the deductive approach of English grammar teaching and the inductive approach of English grammar teaching. To some extent, the two approaches improve the English grammar teaching efficiency and facilitate to improve students' language competences and skills. However, both of the approaches are lack of interests and vitalities and students are always considered as passive learners, as a result, students take no interests in grammars or they even hate grammar teaching classes. With the implementation of new English Curriculum Criteria, more and more educators start to propose that the teacher should regard learners as the subjects in the class and should try to cultivate students' independent learning ability so that to develop students' subjective initiative and arouse students' thinking and reasoning abilities.With the development of modern science and technology, the teaching methods based on internet play an increasing important role in teaching. Microlecture is one of the most outstanding representatives of these methods. Microlecture, which is also called microcourse or microlesson, refers to short videos that record a whole teaching or learning process that teachers teach a certain knowledge points in or out of the classroom. One microlecture always teaches only one language point. It integrates characters, sounds,images and animations in one video in order to motivate students' enthusiasm and initiative.It is of great help to English grammar teaching and improves the teaching efficiency greatly,so it is very popular with the teachers.This paper tries to explore the application of microlecture in English grammar teaching class in senior high school. The subjects of the study are all grade 1 in Jiangjin high school. They are from two classes(30 in each), with one experimental class being taught English grammar through microlecture and one control class being taught English grammar through traditional grammar teaching method. The pretest, post-test and intervieware used to collect the data and then the SPSS 16.0 is used to analyze the data. The study tries to answer the following two questions:1. Is teaching English grammar through microlecture more effective than the traditional grammar teaching method on improving students' grammar level?2. What is senior high school students' attitudes towards teaching English grammar through microlecture?Through the analysis of the empirical study, the author can draw the following conclusions: students' grammar level in the experimental class improved more than that of students in the control class. And at the same time, students' interests of learning English grammar and the confidence of using grammar also increase greatly in the experimental class.
