Objective: To study the status and the degree of alcohol drinking of students from four colleges in Luzhou, and to analyze the relationship between the three kind of traits(impulse, self acceptance,peer pressure) and drinking pattern.Methods: A stratified cluster random sampling method was used in the investigagion.1381 students were selected from four colleges in Luzhou.they have completed the survey which includ self-designed demographic data,drinking situation questionnaire and five psychology questionnaires(alcohol use disorders identification test(AUDIT), self acceptance questionnaire(SAQ), ads alcohol dependence questionnaire, Barratt impulsiveness scale 11 th version(BIS-11)(chinese version) and interpersonal stress questionnaire(PIP)).Results: 1. The total past drinking rate was 73.3%; present drinking rate was 51.4%; excessive drinking rate was 41.2%, ebriety rate was 24.3%; dangerous and harmful drinking rate(AUDIT?7) was 20.8%. The percentage of alcohol dependence in low level and above was 51.1%(ADS?1) The alcohol dependence was mainly psychological dependence and few physical dependence. 2. logistic regression analysis showed that gender, monthly living expenses and school type were the risk factors of the drinking of college students. 3. logistic regression analysis showed that gender, age of alcohol initiation, self rating alcohol dependence status, self rating of alcohol consumption, the drinking days of the past year, drunk days of the past 1 year, the bad results of drinking and the binge drinking frequency of the past year were the risk factors of hazardous and harmful drinking.4.The impulsivity showed the positive correlation with the dangerous and harmful drinking behavior. 5.There was a significant negative correlation between impulsivity and self acceptance. 6.The peer pressure was one of the main predictors of male alcohol consumption, which could explain 79.2% of the variance. Self acceptance was one of the predictors of female alcohol consumption, which could explain 94.1% of the variance.Conclusion: 1. There is a prevalence trend on drinking, excessive drinking, drunkenness and the hazardous and harmful drinking behaviors. The boys have more chance to drink than girls; Southwest medical university's students with the lowest chance to drink than other colleges in Luzhou; Students have the higher monthly cost of living, the more prone to alcohol. 2. Men, the smaller age of initiation, heavier self rating alcohol dependence status, higher self rating of alcohol consumption, the much number of drinking days and drunk days on past 1 year, more the bad results of drinking and the binge drinking more frequency on past 1 year,were easier to be dangerous and harmful drinkers. 3. Between the dangerous and harmful drinking behavior and the impulsivity have obvious relationship;There is a clear relationship between the impulsivity and self acceptance. 4. after controlling for demographic characteristics and other effect of related factors,The peer pressure is one of the important reasons for the development of male students drinking after the control of the demographic characteristics and other related factors. Self acceptance is one of the important reasons for female students drinking.
