A Study On The Relationship Between Tenure And Academic Freedom In American University

The university is not only the cradle of production and transmission of knowledge, training high quality talents,but also the conscience of mankind. The status and role of the University in the era of knowledge economy is increasingly prominent. Now in the world, the achievements of American higher education has attracted worldwide attention, which is closely related to their university education concept, structure model and management system. Academic freedom, university autonomy and tenure is three significant characteristics of the American University, the three aspects are interrelated.
