An Empirical Study On The Factors Affecting The Occupational Safety Behavior Of Express Delivery Officers

The rapid development of e-commerce in China has promoted the rise of the express industry.It has brought opportunities to the express industry,but also brought great challenges to the couriers.With the acceleration of the urbanization process,more and more migrant workers are coming.Due to their own constraints,most of the migrant workers join the express industry and become the main group of our couriers.Because the low level of their own culture and lack of professional knowledge,lack of safety awareness and professional skills leads to frequent occupational safety accidents,and their occupational safety is not guaranteed.Therefore,it is urgent for us to explore the influencing factors of the occupational safety of the courier and take corresponding measures to ensure the occupational safety of the courier.This paper takes the couriers in the new employment as the research object,based on Maslow’s needs hierarchy theory,accident causation theory,cognitive theory and labor rights protection theory,this paper mainly discusses the occupational safety problems of this special group by using the methods of literature research,questionnaire investigation and statistical analysis.Based on the characteristics of the express occupant,the influence factors model of the professional safety behavior of the courier is constructed by combing the related literature of occupational safety,including mainly divided into three factors: self factors(safety consciousness,safety knowledge,safety attitude),employer factors(work environment,safety management and incentive system),government factors(supervision policy,policy propaganda,government),this article mainly investigates 5 District express personnel in Changan District,Qiaoxi District,Xinhua District,Yuhua district and Gaocheng District,Shijiazhuang,Hebei,then,through factor analysis,we reduce the dimension of all the items in the questionnaire about the Richter scale,the RC column table was used to verify whether the demographic factors had significant influence on the courier,age,education,work experience and wages have a significant impact on the safety of the courier,then it analyses the threeinfluencing factors of express workers themselves,employers and government and the professional safety behavior of express workers.Finally,there is a relationship between the three factors and the occupational safety behavior.On the basis of clarifying the influencing factors of the professional safety behavior of the courier,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to ensure the professional safety of express personnel from three aspects,such as express personnel,employers and government:First,the courier should have safety knowledge and safety awareness,and have a cognitively and cognitively attitude towards safety behavior,which will reduce the occurrence of occupational safety accidents;Second,employers should regulate the internal mechanism of the employing units,and not to do anything harmful to the legitimate rights and interests of employees.at the same time,employers should adjust the safety management system according to local conditions;Third,the government should improve the legal system and enable more people to understand policies through various effective ways.At the same time,we should intensify policy propaganda and supervise the employers.Only the three are joined together,to be able to express the safety of the employees to build a solid barrier security courier occupation safety,this is not only important for the development of courier itself,but also related to the orderly development of society,in order to protect the labor rights of the courier,which is beneficial to the construction of harmonious society.
