Due to its increasing secrecy and perniciousness,Internet drug-trafficking is becoming a more and more prominent social evil.A motley of websites and Internet forums are convenient for criminals to post drug-dealing messages on.Rapidly updating instant messaging enables criminals to keep in contact at ease;online payment provides safe haven for transferring drug money,and the flourishing shipping industry readily facilitates drug circulation.All those combined to make Internet drug trafficking more covert,posing a still more severe challenge to anti-drug efforts.Intelligence-gathering on Internet drug-trafficking plays a key role in cracking online drug crimes.At present,intelligence-gathering personnel in some areas of China remain incompetent in coping with Internet drug-dealing.Besides,academic research on Internet drug-trafficking took a late start.Building on previous research results and incorporating personal involvement in anti-drug work,the author try to elaborate on relevant concepts in Intelligence-gathering on Internet drug-trafficking,lay out existing problems in this area and explore the reasons behind them from various perspectives.This thesis creatively puts forth the people-oriented “fourwheel drive” theory regarding Intelligence-gathering on Internet drug-trafficking to solve drawbacks such as the lack in quantity,relevance and time effectiveness.Human factors play a determining part in this.Intelligence-gathering is ideally performed by personnel well acquainted with related laws and regulations by means of undated technologies.Besides,intelligence should be well managed.A complete mechanism helps to give full play to the initiative of intelligence-gathering personnel,thus advancing the whole process.
