Presently,China is undergoing a phase of storming fortification and social transtormation,the situation within and without is comparatively complicated,social contradiction is surfacing,the main body of interest,perspective of value and multiple social thoughts altogether unprecedentedly cause tremendous change for special professionals in terms of professional honor.In external environment,crime is becoming increasingly different in respect of organized form and mobilization,the public security work encounters serious challenge and massive stress.Police shoulders large burdens of work in order to maintain social stability and harmony,which unavoidably affects the value identify of police,at the same time,in internal environment,promotion,treatment are seeming difficult to be satisfied,and the requirements of the normalization,specialization and professionalism are also yet to be improved.This can also decrease the level of police loyalty and become the constraint factor to the cultivation of police professional honor.Enhancing to cultivation of police professional honor can benefits not only the support from the public professional but also benefits police team construction and the promotion police qualification.As a result,a research on the development of police professional honor is especially necessary and timingly.This paper firstly induces the conception of police professional honor,on the basis of Marks' s relevant theory and Maslo's “demand level theory and comprehensive incentive theory”,to strike a firm foundation for further analysis of the meaning of cultivation of police profession honor,the specific performance of decreasing police professional honor,and then put forward basic countermeasures for the cultivation of police professional honor with the aid of constructing a assessment system and drawing lessons from the foreign counter parts.The core of the research on the cultivation of police professional honor is professional identification.Targeting at the present embarassment of low level of social assessment at the cultivation of police professional honor,in sufficient working guarantee and a weak sense of professional honor.I think we should draw three main lines in terms of social supporting system,profession guarantee and plan of career,constructing a system of cultivation of police professional honor involving one core,three main lines and three stages.
