As a kind of social phenomenon and social practice activity,ideological and political education has obvious social attribute,because of the close interrelation between it and social system.It suffers the restriction of the society,while plays an active role to the society.The Third Plenary Session of the 18 th Central Committee of the CPC pointed out that we should promote the modernization of the national governance system and capacity,and innovate the system of social governance.Under this background,as an important way of promoting the social governance,ideological and political education should give full play to its social function,reveal its social attribute,to realize its social value.So,having a thorough study on the social attribute has great influence on ideological and political education itself and the social development.Firstly,I put the interpretation of the theory of ideological and political education’s social attribute as the starting point of this paper,to clarify the relevant theories of it.Next,I study the history practice of ideological and political education’s social attribute,to support its existence and summarize its experience and lessons,on the purpose of providing significant reference for the contemporary representation of it.Then,I analysis the realistic needs of the ideological and political education’s social attribute,in allusion to the present social situation of our country,to highlight the necessity of contemporary representation of it.Finally,I explore the way to reveal ideological and political education’s social attribute,to response the social demands.Therefore,this paper includes the following four parts :The first chapter studies the relevant theories and the researching significance of ideological and political education’s social attribute.Social attribute,as the mutual relation between the ideological and political education and social system,internally includes the commonality of social relation,the previous of social restriction and theactive social function,which is revealed through the ideological and political education’s goals,and contents,subjects and objects,practice,carriers and methods,environment,function and value,etc.There are some differences between ideological and political education’s social attribute and political,cultural attribute,as well as interrelation.The second chapter mainly dates back to the history of the ideological and political education’s social attribute.Through presenting the social development of the ideological and political education’ social attribute,we can conclude that the ancient Chinese ideological and political education has obvious social attribute,in the aspects of it’s basis,goals,methods and environment;the content,function and participants of western capitalist countries’ ideological and political education have obvious social attribute;the contemporary ideological and political education of the communist party of China also has the obvious social attribute.These presentations of social attribute can offer some positive significance for our inferring in revealing the ideological and political education’ social attribute.Besides,due to the limitations of history and reality,there are something that is not scientific,which needs us to avoid.The third chapter studies the realistic demands,the ideological and political education faces.After the analysis,we can conclude that the development of the socialist market economy,democratic political,advanced cultural,harmonious society and ecological civilization need ideological and political education to reveal it’s social attribute.In addition,the development of the virtual network space puts forward urgent demands for the representation of ideological and political education’s social attribute.The fourth chapter studies how to reveal the social attribute of ideological and political education in contemporary.In this chapter,I search the principles of social flexibility,service and transcendence,to which the representation of ideological and political education’s social attribute should adhere,and explore the paths to reveal the social attribute of ideological and political education,from the angles of structure construction,resource exploitation and the social function’s playing.Finally,I emphasize three important problems,that includes insisting proper,closing to reality,and pursuing actual effect,to which we need pay attention.
