A Study On The Re-placement Of Family Foster Care For Orphans And Disabled Children

The development and promotion of orphans and disabled children family foster care model throughout the county has drawn extensive attention from scholars of various circles in the community.However,while recognizing the positive effects of family foster care on the physical,psychological and social development of orphans and disabled children,we must acknowledge that there are also some problems which are affecting the health development of orphans and disabled children.These problems can not be ignored,for instance,the re-placement issues of orphans and disabled children fostered in families.The re-placement issues of orphans and disabled children fostered in families will be discussed mainly from the following aspects in this thesis:In the first part,the author clarifies the related concepts of orphans and disabled children fostered in families and introduces the theory used in the research,including definition of orphans and disabled children,family foster care,interruption of fosterage and so on.The theory used in this thesis is rational-emotive therapy model.In the second part,the author introduces and explains the basic situation of Guo and his foster family.Some problems the foster family is facing are also analyzed.In the third part,analysis and comparisons are made on several re-placement ways of Guo when he cannot continue his life in the previous foster family.The fourth part is taking the single case management model to carry out the work of the workers and their families facing the current problems involved in the record,follow-up assessment and reflection.Aim to explore a reasonable solution to the problem of re-placement in family foster care and to address the departure of the primary caregiver in the process of solving the problem.The fifth part is starting from the point of view of the policy formulation,through the case of this essay reflects the existing orphans and disabled children related laws and regulations are not perfect,put forward a new tripartite coordination of the support model formed by nation,institutions and families.In view of the problems in this case,the author puts forward a new family foster mode which is the joint of state,social service and the foster family.Firstly,the government should increase the policy support.Secondly,social service should be provided.Thirdly,the foster family should look after the orphans and disabled children carefully.The new family foster mode put forward by the author may promote the foster work of the orphans and disabled children into the stage of smooth development.
