A Study On The Needs Of The Elderly In Pastoral Pension Institutions

Since 2000,China has gradually entered the aging society.In order to cope with the increasingly severe aging phenomenon,the government and all sectors of the community have taken active measures to strengthen the old-age security work.In view of pension service,the general idea is to establish and perfect the pension service system that "takes home as the basis,community as the support and pension institution as the supplement".Due to the different characteristics of the needs of the assigned elderly,service system construction and service model construction of pension institutions are also different.In other words,the needs of the elderly who live in pension institutions directly affect the service mode of pension institutions.This paper takes A Pension Service Center,the first pastoral home-based pension service institution in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,as the research object,assesses the needs of the elderly who live in the service center and analyzes the service offered by the service center by means of questionnaire survey,and proposes the suggestions on perfecting pastoral home-based pension institutions.The paper assesses the needs of the elderly from five dimensions,including life care,spiritual comfort,culture and entertainment,health care and guarantee of rights and interests.Among them,many aspects of contents are included,such as material needs,spiritual needs and psychological needs.Through questionnaire assessment,the paper firstly finds the characteristics of needs of the elderly and analyzes the causes.And then,through the analysis of the typical cases,the paper finds the characteristics and causes of the elderly in the pastoral areas which are different from old people in other old-age care institutions.In the supply analysis of the elderly,the paper mainly introduces the service content and problems of the service center currently.And then,according to the specific content of supply and demand assessment,the paper puts forward suggestions on establishing an intelligent service system and conducting fine management.Ultimately,the paper proposes the policies that are needed to guarantee these contents.
