Psychological Confusion Of Grassroots Policemen And Psychological Guidance

In China,people’s police are depicted as guardian angels and protectors of the people,and become a major force to protect people’s legitimate rights and interests,and punish criminals.However,after taking off police uniform,they are also ordinary people.For the grassroots policemen,they need to deal with all kinds of criminals,handle various criminal acts,and provide the people with solutions to all kinds of complicated disputes every day,so their workloads have become increasingly heavy.Meanwhile,with accelerated social transformation in China,the prestige of people’s policemen among the masses has gradually decline due to various reasons and grassroots policemen begin to suffer from psychological confusion and even psychological problems under the impact of various negative factors.Which affect their physical and mental health,and even the normal law enforcement of public security bureaus in China.In order to fully understand the mental health state of grassroots policemen,the author of this paper conducts a survey among the 135 grassroots policemen in the public security bureau in Wenzhou and investigates their psychological confusion in the form of questionnaire and interview.The survey result shows that the grassroots policemen in Wenzhou suffering psychological confusion often feel tired of their work and life,have weak control of their emotion,bad interpersonal skills and relationship and so on.Although active measures are taken in grassroots public security bureaus in Wenzhou,there are some problems and deficiencies in these measures,such as unreasonable organization structure,restricted functions of psychological counseling,lack of professional psychological counseling system and talents,low level of psychological health care service,lack of psychological training for in-service policemen,etc.In order to solve the psychological confusion of grassroots policemen,the relevant management of public security organs should suit the methods to the actual situations,find out the cause of their psychological confusion and take active countermeasures.Firstly,the relevant management of public security organs should take overall consideration of grassroots policemen psychological confusion and establish settlement principles;secondly,they should conduct specific psychological counseling and take active measures in the following aspects: optimize the work environment of grassroots policemen,lay emphasis on the mental health of them,improve and complete mental crisis intervention mechanism,build good social environment,improve theprestige of police and their ability to reduce their own pressure,etc.As long as the relevant management of grassroots public security organs takes active measures to deal with their psychological confusion and lays more emphasis on their mental health,the psychological confusion and problems of grassroots policemen can be truly solved and they can have better physical and mental health so as to improve their work performance and overall work efficiency.It is expected that more grassroots policemen can have better mental health and be committed to their work through the research in this paper,so as to maintain public order,weed out the wicked,let the law-abiding citizens live in peace and build a harmonious and stable society.
