The Research On Culture And Entertainment Life Of The Rural Elderly

With the rapid development of economy and the improvement of medical treatment,the aging trend of many countries in the world is becoming more and more obvious. As a developing country, China is the country to enter the aging society early. On the other hand, the rural elderly as social vulnerable groups, the trend of aging in rural areas is more severe. Therefore, under the background of building a socialist harmonious society in our country, exploring the way to achieve "active aging" in the vast rural areas of China has become a difficult task which the country is facing.Although old age social science field has formed a more mature urban and rural pension mechanism research, the research on culture and entertainment life of the elderly is less, especially the study of rural older culture and entertainment life is less and less. Under the background of new socialist rural construction, the rural elderly people’s material and cultural level is continuously improved, the cultural and entertainment life demand of the elderly in rural areas will be continually strong at the same time. Therefore, the study of rural elderly cultural and recreational life status has become a new topic in the current society. In order to more clearly show the status of the rural elderly and cultural life, the author chooses the rural elderly of West Bank village, Henan Province as the object of study, using interviewing method, document retrieval method, statistical analysis of research methods, expounding the basic situation of the survey village; analyzing the status quo and the problems of cultural and recreational life of the rural elderly and factors which influence the status quo;inquiring ways which are aimed at solving the problems which the rural elderly’s culture and entertainment life exists.
