A Study On The Application Of Motivation Theory In Ideological And Political Education

As a major political advantage of our Party,ideological and political education has been charging with the important role of improving people’s thoughts,promoting people’s cognition and leading people’s behavior for a long time.Our Party has always been attaching great importance to the ideological and political work,regarding it as the power source and lifeline of our Party and state’s cause.In modern society,economic development changes with each passing day,social environment is becoming more and more open,people’s ideological understanding and value pursuit have been presenting a diversified condition,and the ideological and political work is facing new challenges.So,the ideological and political education in the new era needs method innovation,content innovation and objective innovation,combine one-way instillation with interaction,make the unity of dominant education and multiple demands,and pay more attention to people’s comprehensive development.In this process,using the viewpoints and methods in motivation theories to guide the ideological and political work appears very necessary.Motivation theories are mainly used in management,they have condensed the intelligence of the scholars at all times and all over the world.Motivation theories focus on the rules of people’s thoughts and behaviors,pay attention to meeting people’s diversified demands,strive to explore scientific methods to mobilize people’s enthusiasm.Apply motivation theories into ideological and political education can effectively prevent the weakening of educational functions,is consistent with the requirement of people-oriented in ideological and political education in new era.This thesis is based on the study of the motivation theories in the world,establish a connection between motivation theories and ideological and political education,analyses the motivation methods in ideological and political education,explores the realistic approaches of optimize motivation effects,strives to provide useful reference for strengthen the actual effect of ideological and political work in new era.Specifically,this thesis is divided into four parts:The first part: explains the concept of motivation,introduces the motivation ideas in ancient China,the motivation theories of our Party,and the famous motivation theories in management and psychology all over the world,laying a theoretical foundation for the study.The second part: discusses the important significance of using motivation theories into ideological and political education,analyses the functions of motivation theories in ideological and political education from five aspects,namely,clarifying the teaching goals,exploiting people’s potential,creating a good atmosphere,improving teaching relationship,enhancing the attractiveness of the subject.The third part: explores the motivation methods and the application principles in ideological and political education under the guidance of the motivation theories.The fourth part: analyses the problems which should be paid attention in the process of motivation theories applying into ideological and political education,and puts forward corresponding strategies in purpose of strengthening motivation effects.
