Volunteering starts relatively late in China,however, volunteerism has been deeply rooted in Chinese mores since ancient times. Since volunteering works are spontaneous and non-for-profit, there always has been lacking of effective supervision and evaluation mechanism. In effect, due to the growth of demands for volunteering works and necessity of standardizing and efficientizing it, the quality of volunteers and their service will be surely improving. And among those volunteering activities, ones for major sports events are more comprehensive high-end works. As economy grows, the frequency of hosting major sports events increases correspondingly, and these events will be very effective perspective for observing volunteering works in China.Essentially as parts of social public volunteering activities Volunteering works for major sports event has general natures of volunteering organization. And also major events especially sports events has its own characteristics, such as tight schedule, opening to public globally, different sports types, highly-specialized, concerning security issues etc. Thus, major sports events demands target-driven,etiquette-oriented, cooperation and coordination volunteering services. From major events' volunteering works, we will be able to find the tighter connection between volunteering works and organizational management. In some sense volunteering works for major sports event is setting standards for social volunteering management.This article will benefits from researching major sports event and focus on volunteering works. Apart from that, we will also discuss volunteering management, which will have governmental, organizational, social and personal perspectives and research organizational, managemental and theoretical innovation. These researches will make significant sense topromote this experience of organizational management and education to more public volunteering activities as we master the nature of it.
