Medical Charity Research Of Private Hospitals-in Jinan City

With the improvement and raise the level of medical and social care system, especially Medicare and Medicaid systems, long plagued people's expensive medical care and other issues has been greatly eased, but such as medicare and medicaid can't cover all of the people and disease, it is need to be supplemented by the medical charity, private hospital for medical services can play an important role in medical charity. Currently, many private hospitals at the same time strengthening their service specification is also actively engaged in participating medical charity, which was deemed to improve their images and enhance their social trust, and it has became an important component of the force of charity, so it is necessary to study the medical charity of private hospitals.This paper applies the method of qualitative research, and the study site is Jinan, through field surveys and in-depth interviews seven private hospitals that involved in the development of medical charity to collect the information required this research. The strategy theory and trust theory is the theoretical basis of this study, combining the theory of strategy and trust to research the basic situation of private hospital in medical charity and the existence of restricting factors and then puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.In this paper, the study found that : First, the motivations of private hospitals in medical charity include: To implement their medical aim, carry out their mission of medical institutions; To meet the needs of the community, to enhance the welfare of private hospitals and other medical services.Second, the design and implementation of the medical charity. The concept of design is: Adhere to charitable, prominent advantages, follow the principle of "do according to one's abilities"; Programs designed are: Advanced planning assistance and after the event planning assistance; The implementation ways are: Clinic, medical expenses relief, set up the medical charity fund, carry out special charity program and so on. In addition, private hospitals in the course of conducting the medical charity carried out different aspects of cooperation with relevant government organizations, other medical institutions, charitable organizations and the media in order to improve their medical charity and their credibility. Third, evaluation of medical charity effectiveness, this paper involes the assessments of private hospitals'. Fourth, the factors in restricting private hospitals in medical charity are: themedical charity level: it has its own spesial feature; low degree of standardization; the hospital level:Low credibility, less propaganda of medical charity and so on; And other restrict factors from social and government levels.Finally, this paper put forward the countermeasures and suggestions form three levels to promote the medical charity of private hospital. First, the hospital level: Raise the overall strength of hospital, strengthen their credibility; Increase propaganda of medical charity, to expand its charity awareness; Explore medical charity activities consistent with their own advantages and characteristics and so on. Second, the social level: Play a guiding and monitoring role of public opinion, enhance social trust; Relevant organizations to private hospitals for medical charity to give active support and collaboration. Third, the government level: The relevant government departments should increase efforts to regulate medical charity; Strengthen the policy guidance and the legal norms of medical charity.
