The Study Of Contemporary Farmers’ Moral Construction In The Horizon Of Folk Culture

The construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas whose most important task is to improve the thoughts and morals of farmers has been a primary concern for our party and country,but we now face a problem that the moral quality of modern farmers can’t match the requirement of social development needs to break through immediately.Because the folk culture was created by ancient people living through productive labor,folk-custom has a closer relationship with farmers.The folk culture is the most important part of the Chinese civilization which is profound and boasts a long history,a kind of custom which is created and inherited by long-term productive life of people,and a kind of spiritual culture.The folk culture has many similarities with morals which is sheltered by folk-custom initially,and the folk culture being rich in morals is the most important resources of the construction of morals.Taking full advantage of the folk culture to improve moral level and establishing right value of farmers is favor of forming good moral habits and foster the development of economy and harmonious society in rural areas.This thesis explores the ways of moral construction,starting from the current situation of farmers’ moral level in Hefei,seeing form the folk culture and investigating the moral components of good folk culture.And it is discussed from five parts:The first part defines and expounds farmers,folk culture,morals and other concepts.The second part analyzes the relationship between the folk culture and morals,from the parts: their similarities,differences,blending and the folk culture’s specific influence on morals.The third part states the significance of the modern farmers’ construction on the development of rural economy,the construction of beautiful village and the construction of harmonious society.The fourth part,as Hefei an example,surveys and analyzes modern farmers’ moral level to find the existing problems and the causes of the problems in modern farmers’ moral.The fifth part explores the ways of farmers’ moral construction from good folk,including festivals,folk in religious folk,folk proverbs and so on,the most important exploration is to construct farmers’ social moral,family virtues,professional ethics and personal morality using folk-custom.The folk culture can preferably serve for moral construction in rural through our excavating moral’s connotation from good folk and exploring many ways to combine good folk and moral construction in rural.
