Buddhism was introduced to China on the occasion of the two Han dynasties.During the sixteen-nation period,cave temples began to appear.During the Southern and Northern Dynasties,with the popularization and development of Buddhism,the atmosphere of opening the cave to build a temple reached its climax.The Silk Road and its surrounding areas are filled with a variety of Buddhist cave temples.Western,Hexi,Longyou and other areas are the largest number of Buddhist cave temples built,and also form the so-called "X mode" of the academic community.Kuchas mode,Liangzhou mode,Qinzhou mode.This article takes the grottoes of Wooden Ladder Temple in Wushan County as the main research object,and based on the history of ancient records,“Religious History of Gansu Province”,“Tianshui City Chronicle” and the precious four old records of Wushan County,to study the historical evolution of the wooden ladder temple grottoes.Create a factor to explain its position in the grottoes in Gansu.It seeks to verify the practical significance and social value of the protection and development of the wooden grotto temple caves through the exploration of historical and historical values of cave temples.On the basis of field investigation,the 14 th Cave in the existing burial site of the grottoes and the inscription of the words created by Xixia Dynasty in the Tang Dynasty,the statues of the Three Buddhas in the Song Dynasty in the 5th and 7th Caves,the statues of the Ming dynasty in the Cave 5,the caverns in the16 th Cave of the Republic of China,and Cave 11 In the Yuan Dynasty,the tower was built as a research object,and the historical and cultural values behind it were excavated to some extent.With regard to the protection and development of the Wooden Ladder Temple Grottoes,through the research methods of other humanities disciplines outside the historiography,it is believed that the research and development of cultural relics derivatives should be carried out,cross-cutting multiple disciplines,and utilizing advanced digital technology to the existing caves of the Wooden Ladder Temple.In order to maintain and develop the wooden ladder temples,video recording was performed to minimize the loss of the grottoes themselves,and the efficiency of grottoes was improved through Internet technology.Looking through this article,more and more people are realizing the value of the study of small and medium-sized grottoes represented by the woodenladder temple caves,and hope to attract the attention of academic circles to the study of small and medium-sized grottoes.
