| Ouyang Xiu(1007-1072)was an outstanding politician of the Northern Song Dynasty.He was also a literary leader who was good at creating various styles of literary works.Ouyang Xiu created a wealth of works throughout his life.There are more than 860 poe ms.Previous generations of scholars have discussed this issue,and their research on poetr y has also been continuously enriched and matured.With the updating of academic concep ts,there is still a new space for the exploration of Ouyang Xiu’s poetry.As a basic literary element,narrative has always existed in the practice of classical C hinese poetry.However,the older scholars mostly focused on exploring the lyrical characte ristics of poetry and neglected the narrative elements.When the predecessors evaluated So ng poetry,they said: “Write poetry in writing essays,make arguments in poetry,express k nowledge in poetry.” At the beginning of the Song Dynasty,a group of writers represente d by Ouyang Xiu successively inherited and promoted the “Ancient Prose Movement” adv ocated by Han Yu in the Middle Tang Dynasty.Writing poems in prose method also incre ased the narrative elements in poetry.This article intends to proceed from the perspective of "narrativity" in order to try to establish a new aesthetic space of Ouyang Xiu’s poetry.The article is divided into seven parts.The introduction part mainly includes four asp ects,the origin of the selected topic and research significance,the definition of the narrati vity,the research summary,the writing ideas and research methods.The first chapter reviews the narrativity’s development of Ouyang Xiu’s poetry,which is the budding start-up period,the developmental maturity period,and the stable end peri od.We will combine Ouyang Xiu’s life experience,political practice and poetry creation t o illustrate the process of this change and its influencing factors,so as to reflect the deve lopment and change laws of more distinctive narrative features in his poetry.The second chapter presents various kinds of “event” in Ouyang Xiu’s poetry,followe d by the national economy and the people’s livelihood,the events between friends and the daily life of the individual.This chapter mainly discusses the events contained in the poe ms by combining historical documents and research materials such as The History of the Song Dynasty and The Long-term Warrants for Longitudinal Warrants.The third chapter is divided into two parts.First,it explains the narrative features in the title,preface,and annotation.Then illustrate the use of narrative techniques in poetry of different themes.The fourth chapter summarizes the artistic methods of Ouyang Xiu’s poetry and the main narrative characteristics through the relationship between poetry and events.It is foll owed by vivid and detailed scene reproduction,objective and realistic narrative perspective s,rich and varied narrative methods,and various presentations of folk customs.The fifth chapter analyzes the reason for the increased narrativity of Ouyang Xiu’s po etry.It mainly explains from three levels: the influence of the socio-political environment i n the early Song Dynasty,the individual factors of Ouyang Xiu and the internal factors of poetry.The last part is an epilogue,summarizing the use and expression of "narrative" as a major artistic method in Ouyang Xiu’s poetry,and explaining the influence of the narrative nature of poetry on future generations. |
