This is a translation report on parts of English documents about Building Information Modelling(BIM)I translated for the teacher who is writing a book about BIM.During the translation,I adopted the Information Theory as a guidance,and tried to translate all the information in the original to the Chinese readers.This report,with the word collocation as its focus,is about the difficulties in my translation and the process to resolve them,it discussed the importance of word collocation in translation through the analysis of examples and also summarized the translation principles and strategies.This translation report consists of four parts.Part One is the introduction,including the project background,objectives and significance,the Information Theory adopted in the project,and the structure of the report.Part Two includes Chapter Two and Three,analyzing the difficulties the translator met during the translation and the steps used to resolve them accordingly.Many examples are given to illustrate each condition under the guidance of Information Theory.Part Three covers the features of the original edition language and translation methods.Part Four summarizes the lessons,implication and unsolved problems in this translation project. |
