As one of the jade ritual vessels,semi-annular jade pendant has a long history and exquisite ornamentation.The tomb of Chu King of the Lion Mountain in Xuzhou,Houloushan,Zifangshan and other Han tombs has excavated a certain number of semi-annular jade pendant that are excellent in materials and uniquely decorated.This article analyzes the decoration features of Han Dynasty semi-annular jade pendant,and analyzes the application of its decoration in modern design through related cases.Based on the conclusions and summaries of domestic research results in the research process,and combined with specific physical objects,this article categorizes and analysis the feature of the ornamentation of semi-annular jade pendant in the Han Dynasty through literature research,comparative study and field investigation.First of all,this article analyzes the research value of semi-annular jade pendant,the general situation of semi-annular jade pendant in the Han Dynasty,the background of semi-annular jade pendant development in the Han Dynasty in Xuzhou,and the status of unearthed semi-annular jade pendant,and arranges the semi-annular jade pendant decorative features and decorative design concepts in the Han Dynasty,and explored the context and reasons for the development of semi-annular jade pendant patterns in the early Western Han Dynasty,the Western Han Dynasty,and the late Western Han Dynasty.It reveals that the quantity and decoration of semi-annular jade pendant in the Han Dynasty was at its peak in the early and middle Western Han Dynasty,and it declined in the late Western Han Dynasty.Not only was the number of semi-annular jade pendant gradually decreasing,but also the decoration has been changed from meticulously to simplicity.Secondly,the Han Dynasty semi-annular jade pendant in Xuzhou Museum was the main research object,at the same time,a comparison analysis was made between the museum collections of other regions.Summarized the characteristics and the status of unearthed of different areas of semi-annular jade pendant,and explored the decorative features of the Han Dynasty semi-annular jade pendant in different regions and the closely related Han cultural background and social customs.It is inferred that Xuzhou was in an important position in the two Han dynasties.The semi-annular jade pendant unearthed in the Han tombs of Xuzhou is more diverse than the semi-annular jade pendant unearthed in other Han tombs and has distinctive regional features.Finally,the application of decorative design in related modern design works is used to discuss the cultural inheritance of the typical decoration of semi-annular jade pendant in the Han Dynasty,and it is proposed that the ornamentation in the Han Dynasty has been extended and interpreted in the modern decoration design.In addition,it is hoped that this study will inspire the flexible application of Han ornamentation,especially the semi-annular jade pendant ornamentation,as a local traditional decoration element,in suitable circumstances in modern decorative design.
