A Report On The Translation Of Chinese Dream Of Education(Excerpt)

The source text is excerpted from the part one of Chinese Dream of Education,“Wei Yu: Scientific Positivism is the Motivation for Advancing Educational Research and Practice” and “Zhang Xinsheng: Lotus,Greenery and Landscape on Internationalization and Localization of Chinese Higher Education”,which displays the development,reform,and outlook of Chinese education.Under the guidance of Peter Newmark's Communicative Translation method,the author employs translation techniques,such as addition,omission,division,to resolve difficulties in translation,making both the content and language of the translation readily acceptable and comprehensible to the readership.This report explores the significance of translation theory and sums up the problems during translation in order to direct future translation.There are four parts in this report,including the introduction of the translation project,the description of the translating process,case analysis,and the summary of the problems in the practice.Besides,the source text from Chinese Dream of Education and the translation are attached to the report.
