A Study Of Li Liwu’s DaXueBenZhi

Through the study of Li Liwu’s book " DaXueBen Zhi ",this paper reveals that Li Liwu is borrowing the ancient book "Da Xue" to elucidate the new meaning of "Neo-Confucianism" from the aspect of the history of academic thought.In the textual research on the year of Li’s birth and death,Li Liwu was probably born in ChunYou three years(1243 AD)in the Southern Song Dynasty,and died in the Yuan Dynasty to the third year(1310 AD).In view of the problem of Li’s inheritance,Li Liwu is regarded as to study personally "JianShan" school by reading ErGuo’s works.On the one hand,it may be out of his spiritual understanding of this school of scholars,on the other hand,it is obvious that his right thinkers are not conformist,do not pay much attention to teachers,and pass on teachers,and pursue the "alternative" characteristic of unique innovation in thought.As to the structure of " DaXueBenZhi ",the author analyzes the reasons for Li Liwu’s selection of the ancient text by contrasting Cheng Zhu with the original version.It was because of Cheng Zhu’s way of "changing the classics and learning" in the construction of "changing the Classic to respect the Classic" that Li gave up the original and chose the ancient book "DaXue" to make his argument.By comparing with Cheng and Zhu,the author points out that the aim of the DaXue is essentially the "Neo-Confucianism" which has the ancient appearance.In the light of the righteousness and principle of the book,Li Liwu points out that Li Liwu thinks that "DaXue" is a sacred book to elucidate the nature of the mind in the study of sainthood.He insists on the view that "there are things that are necessary",and thinks that the whole world is the result of the orderization and realisation of the "TianLi".The author thinks that the purpose of "the way of DaXue" is to "build the imperial pole" and "return to the extreme".The essence of "Mingde,Xinmin,ZhiYuZhiShan" advocated in "the way of DaXue" is one thing,which is an explanation of the possible basis for the reality society to go back to the state of "TianLi".
