This translation original text is based on the first version of NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology: Breast Cancer Risk Reduction released by National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN)in 2015.Due to the fact that breast cancer,a serious threat to women's health, has become one of the most commonly diagnosed malignant tumors in modern society, the author of this translation report hopes that the broad masses of females could have common knowledge for breast cancer and take care of their breast health by translating the guidelines of early prevention and treatment of breast cancer as well as the efficacy of anticarcinogen in this respect. The author has mainly divided this report into three parts. They are task description, process description, and cases analysis. The report has described the characteristics of the medical English translation, combining functional equivalence theory and summarizing typical cases,to analyze the strategies of medical translation. The first chapter of the report has made a detailed description for the translation task, including the background of the source text, objective of the research and significance of the research, presenting to readers an overall knowledge of the selected topic. The second chapter describes the process of translation, including pre-translation preparation, reading relevant translation theory and the application of the theory into medical English.Cases analysis is involved in the third chapter, where the author analyzes translation techniques in lexical level and syntactic level and summarizes how to flexibly apply translation theory in translating process. In the end the report has concluded the whole translation process, recalling the typical translation problems occurring in the process,so as to provide reference for future translation.
