In the early 20 th century,some writers of the Shanghai literature also acted as painters and writers,writing and personally designing cover pages,asking friends to draw pictures,or providing illustrations to friends.The idea and choice of illustrations of these books not only occupy important seats in aesthetics,but also trace our pursuit of precious art.Taking the aesthetic taste and form in the illustrations of Shanghai style literature in the early 20 th century as the research content and the female image as the starting point,this paper separately studies the illustrations in the Shanghai style literary works from the aspects of social background,illustrations and features,etc.The research method can not only clearly understand the creative thinking of the artists at the time,but also provide more inspirational inspiration to the present designers.This specific literary environment of Shanghai was chosen to reconcile the visual elements of text,color,composition and mood in the illustrations to make it a "visual language" of language to describe the aesthetic characteristics of artists in different periods.From these illustrations,we can get a glimpse of the literary atmosphere of the cultural mentality,you can also feel the overall social system from the overall aesthetic personality and interest,and even a genre's style and fashion trends.The illustrations in Shanghai literary works can not be neglected in the field of modern graphic design.Through redesigning,taking artistic characteristics as the basis,literary meaning as the weft and cross-border integration as the guide,Reproduce the turmoil caused by the impact of Chinese and Western cultures in the early 20 th century on the minds of literary artists.
