Research On Traffic Sign In Harbin Crossroads

Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Province,the political economy and culture center in northeastern China.For Harbin land resources are scarce,however,the rapid growth of the population and the improvement of economy make doubled the number of private cars,it is serious beyond the capacity of road network in Harbin,forming a total car and road capacity imbalance situation,which led to serious traffic congestion problems.While the crossroads of the fortress,huge car traffic,traffic accidents occur frequently,so the design of the traffic signs is very important.If the traffic signs are improved,it will ease the traffic pressure and reduce traffic congestion.Based on the existing literature,this paper summarizes the design principles and theoretical basis of traffic signs and finds out the problems through field investigation.Under the premise of satisfying the general requirements of traffic sign design,with Japan as a comparative study on urban traffic,and analyzes the principles and methods of traffic sign design in Harbin city.First the paper analyzes the historical background,traffic situation of Harbin city,the concept and detailed classification of the crossroads,summarizes the classification of urban road classification system and traffic sign,and analyzes the humanized design,which defines this article,namely the direction sign,traffic lights,road brand,street-oriented information and zebra crossing.Secondly,it summarizes the principles and the theoretical basis of the humanized design of traffic signs and the general rules in the design,it makes the basis for the investigation and analysis.Thirdly,it conducts a survey of seven areas of Harbin,and first analyzes the basis problems of traffic and traffic signs,the status of the problem after the analysis of the reasons of the initial settlement.Finally the paper analyzes the Japanese cities as an example,summarizes the principles and the methods of traffic signs design for crossroads in Harbin,and chooses Harbin specific streets as an example to improve the design.
