The Design And Implementation Of Broadcast News English Course Teaching System Based On The Pattern Of MOOC

With the rapid development of our economy,the great progress of our society and the speeding up of the social life pace,our country's need of high quality and comprehensive ability talents is increasing.People can adapt to the development of society only through the life-long study.In the era of mobile Internet Web 2.0,because of the rapid development of information and communication technology,the modern multi-media teaching method emerges at the right moment,represented by micro courses and MOOC online learning environment.Nowadays,many courses have joined MOOC and English course is the most representative one.As a language course,English is more suitable for the open and interactive education way.The news audio-visual,listening and speaking course is a required course for English courses in College and Universities.It requires students to understand and master the language characteristics,semantics,discourse and rhetoric,etc.And it can also improve students' abilities of dealing with news vocabulary and news listening comprehension,make them familiar with all kinds of news listening skills and lay the foundation for the news writing in the near future.In order to make students learn this course better,the foreign language department of Guangdong College of Business and Technology co designed and developed Broadcast News English Course Teaching System with Modern Educational Technology Center with the support of the leadership of the college.According to the teaching characteristics of MOOC,we design and realize Broadcast News English Course Teaching System by using J2 EE of MVC design pattern.We use Java developing languages,SQL data base and Eclipse tool when programming design.The design and development of backend server adopts the struts+ Spring+ Hibernate framework.The system's development is in the background of Broadcast News English Course online education of Guangdong College of Business and Technology.Through full investigation and based on the need of English teachers' publishing courses,uploading teaching resources,online study and teacher-student online communication,the system is developed and it focuses on listening,speaking,reading and writing.It includes autonomous learning module,teaching management module,resource management module,evaluation feedback module,interactive learning module and system management module by using the construction method of software engineering.English teachers can create and publish English courses,upload courseware and course videos,assign homework,give tests and answer questions.Students can finish English course study in the system,ask teachers questions,communicate and discuss with teachers and other students.And they can also practice listening and writing,have English tests and query assignments and results.The system can be managed and maintained by the system administrator.We can have a conclusion system to satisfy our English teaching by having interface test,course pages,content editing and functional test,files management test and performance test.The system can widely use college teaching resources,expand students' study space,break the time and place limit.And students' English grades and teachers' teaching will be greatly improved.The essay summarizes the advancement and limitation of the system and the future research direction.
