Research On The Color Of Yu Feian 's Bird-and-Flower Painting

The 20 th century was an important period for the reform of Chinese painting,and a group of artist emerged on the road to reform.Yu Feian secretly made a historic contribution to the transformation of traditional paintings to modern paintings in the wave of reforms,especially in terms of color research and inheritance.In his book “Study on the Color of Chinese Paintings,” he detailed the variety,nature and development of Chinese painting colors,the characteristics of Chinese ink,the method of ancient and modern artists using color,and how to use glue and alum to fix color.At the same time,he also noticed the aesthetic and color experience of folk painters,and combined the characteristics of folk painting and embroidery into painting.These valuable experiences have been continuously studied and summed up in his artistic practice,which has provided great help for posterity who have learned painting.The main theme of this article is based on Yu Feian's paintings,inscriptions,and works,relying on research methods such as graphics and literature learning,and then analyzing and researching the colors of Yu Feian's flower and bird paintings.Its purpose is to make meticulous flower and bird painting inspired by the innovation of color,and give a good reference for contemporary Chinese painting on the future development of color.
