The Narrative Of Lin Chaoxian's Gangster Film

Hong Kong was known as the "Hollywood of the East" because of the famous gangster films.As the Hong Kong gangster films have been the passes to the world,gangster films have played an important role in the development of Hong Kong film.At the same time a large number of excellent gangster movie directors have come into being.As a famous director in Hong Kong,Lin Chaoxian has been well known by the mainland audience in recent years.Although the fame and box office of former movies are not ideal,from the < Operation Mekong>and < Operation Red Sea>,there has been a wave of watching in the whole country.This article takes Lin Chaoxian's gangster films as the object of study,and discovers the changing laws of Lin Chaoxian's narrative theme,narrative discourse,and narrative image from the 13 gangster films released by his director,and analyzes the reason for the change of the film in narrative production.The first chapter of this article mainly discusses Lin Chaoxian's vigilance on the theme of movie narratives,and discusses the main characteristics and trends of Lin Chaoxian's vigilance on films in three periods.In the first stage,the city of Jianghu that represent “Chivalry” are emphasized.In the second stage,the people who are struggling to survive are reflected.And in the third stage,the feelings of the home country reflected in the film are explored from a commercial perspective.The second chapter of this article takes the narrative discourse as the entry point,sums up the simple and extravagant trend of change from the perspective of the narrative text.This passage discusses in detail the first stage of classical narrative tradition;the second stage pursues complex postmodern narratives;and finally the final type narrative and national fable.The third chapter of this article takes the narrative image as the theme,discusses the image styles corresponding to the narrative theme and the narrative discourse,summarizes the trend from the spectacle to the type,and discusses thefirst stage of the spectacle image in detail.Metaphorical images and the third stage of the typed images.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the causes of narrative changes,and summarizes the changes in the context,from the predicament of cultural identity and the adjustment of survival strategies is the main reason affecting its narrative changes.
