The Application Of Parallel Texts In Enterprise's Regulations Translation

With the development of China's overall national strength,more and more multinational corporations are established in China and local Chinese companies are also beginning to employ many foreign workers.The management of these employees plays a very important role in the development of the enterprises.However,there are still a lot of problems in the translation of the rules and regulations of such enterprises,especially in the translation into English.By analyzing the cases,the author will discuss the role of the parallel texts in the translation of enterprise rules and regulations.First of all,this article explains the basic concepts of enterprise rules and regulations and parallel texts.Secondly,it compares the original translation with the revision version of the SEWS-STC Co.,Ltd.employee handbook at the lexical,syntactic and textual levels.Last but not least,this paper explores how translators should use parallel texts and give full play to their role in translating enterprises regulations and rules.The author attempts to provide some practical advice on how to use parallel texts when translating rules and regulations of domestic enterprises and at the same time hopes to help foreign employees understand the system and culture of domestic enterprises so as to promote the internationalization of domestic enterprises.
