A Translation Practice Report On Excerpts Of Shen Wu’s Restaurant

This paper is a report on the translation of Chinese and English translation practice.The translation project is based on the author’s usual translation practice.From which the author selects an excerpt from Shen Wu’s restaurant which is emphatically described customs and culture as the object of this study.For the translation practice in this field,the author expounds the practical problems by combining relevant theory to analyze problems and utilizing proper translating strategies and methods to solve problems in the translation of English from the perspective of words,sentences and content.During the translation practice,the author strives to find problems,analyze problems and solve problems by combing the whole translation practice and the paper writing process and has a further understanding of the translation theory and summarizes the specific application of the translation strategies,and ultimately has a comprehensive understanding to the field.So as to contribute to the spread of the culture of Korean ethnic minority group and cultural exchange.The report is a valuable experience for the author in the combination of theory and practice and accumulate experience for future work.The author sincerely hopes that the report can provide some references for translators in studying the culture of Korean ethnic minority group.The research is divided into four parts: the introduction of the translation task,including the background,the significance of the task and itself.The second part is to prepare and analyze the translation task including the translation task of text feature analysis,the selection and use of parallel text,the search and use of the relevant theory,the formulation of translation plan,translation work process and the term table.This study mainly focuses on the third part,which is a specific analysis of the translation cases,including the analysis of practical problems that arise from the translating practice of the culture of Korean ethnic minority group in the perspective of word,sentence and passage.The last part is the author’s reflection and summary of the whole translation practice and the paper writing process.
