A Translation Practice Report Of Tourism Materials Of Shuangyashan

This thesis is a practice report,based on the Chinese-English translation of Tourism Materials of Shuangyashan.The purpose of the translation is to make a bilingual brochure out of the original text and its translation so as to promote the city of Shuangyashan and to attract more tourists.The original text is related to tourism and introduces Shuangyashan city and the scenic spots,historical culture,physical geography,etc.in its subordinate cities and counties in detail.Therefore,the supposed readers of the translation are foreign tourists.Therefore,during the process of translation,consideration should be given to the requirements of the targeted readers and their acceptance.Based on the translation,I sum up the problems and difficulties in the process of translation and analyze the solutions with the hope to provide help for the research of the same type of materials in the future.The translation practice report is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the description to the translation task,including the introduction to Shuangyashan,analysis of the original text,the client and the requirements of clients.The third chapter is the analysis of the cases of translation practices,which is the key part of the report.I sum up the translation materials,analyzed the problems in the process of translation,and talk about the rhetorical differences between the east and the west,the differences in ethnic aesthetics and the differences of the two cultures.With respectively selected representative cases in the translation text I interpret and analyze the problems and put up with solutions.The fourth chapter is the conclusion.In this chapter,I interpret the translation experience,as well as the shortages and the direction of efforts.Through the conclusion of experience and self-analysis,I can accumulate more experience and achieve more professional knowledge on the translation road for the future.I hope that the writing of the practice report can provide certain reference for the translation of tourism materials in the future.
