The Study Of The Price Of The Land Sale In The Huizhou Since The Ming Dynasty

The buyer and seller will sign a contract when they purchase the land and goods.There are a large number of sale contracts in Huizhou Documents edited by Mr.Liu.These sale contracts as the first-hand information are all collected from Huizhou area,which can reveal the real state of social life at that time.This paper takes the five series of 50 volumes of Huizhou Documents as the research object,discusses the goods price of the sale contracts from time and space dimensions,thus explores the evolution of local society through the economic perspective.The introduction of this paper mainly reviews the basic situtation of the research on sale contracts and the goods price in Huizhou area,which provides the academic background for the research.There have been fruitful academic achievements on the compilation of Huizhou Documents,the research of sale contracts and comparative study with others areas.However,there are few researches about the goods price of the sale contracts,so it also has a little room for further study on this subject.The text part mainly contains:The first chapter introduces the types of currencies about the goods price of the sale contracts,which are divided into five categories:silver,copper,silver dollar,paper currency and material objects.And with the example of Huizhou Documents,the chapter finally discusses the rate of exchange between silver,copper and silver dollar in different periods.It not only takes into account the particularity of Huizhou area but also refers to the rate of exchange between different types of currencyies throughout the country.The second chapter divides the sale contracts into six categories:contracts of the field,contracts of the land,contracts of the mountain,contracts of the house,contracts of the pound,contracts of the flat ground.These sale contracts are convenient for quantitative processing.The first section is a statistical analysis of the goods price,observing the price trends of different time and analyzing the price differences in different regions.The second section analyzes the factors influencing on goods price from five aspects:social environment,soil grade,property rights and the causes of sale.The third chapter tries to analyze the Huizhou society by the goods price of the sale contracts from the perspective of economic.Through the comparison of goods price in different time and areas,it is concluded that the economic development of Huizhou has the characteristics of imbalance.By comparing the prices of the property of the clan,it is believed that the relief system in clan is gradually formed.And through the comparison of the price of base and land,the price of geomantic mountain and the mountain,the author thinks that people in Huizhou have really been with the popular of geomantic omen during the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty.
