The Colombia writer Garcia Marquez created a new book Memories of My Melancholy Whores based on Sleeping Beauty which written by Japanese writer Kawabata Yasunari,paying his hommage to Kawabata Yasunari.The two novels have similar creative opportunities,presenting a close relationship.Sleeping Beauty and Memories of My Melancholy Whores as the research object,the thesis begins with the relationship and ends up with the exploration to find out the personal color in the conception,theme and cultural connotation between the texts.First of all,this thesis expounds the close influence and relationship between the two novels;Secondly,Bases on the text of the two novels,analyzes the characteristics and differences of the Memories of My Melancholy Whores and the sleeping beauty at the narrative level and the linguistic level;Thirdly,holds that the two texts are the common point of spiritual salvation through women,and further explores the status and situation of women in different regional cultures;Last but not the least,Although the protagonists of both works are old people,but there are obvious differences between the experience and attitude towards death of the two old people,this is closely related to the two writers' own experience as well as the religious culture and social background.This thesis utilized four chapters to show the communication and analysis,to show Marquez's hommage to Kawabata Yasunari and to express himself.
