The Trend Of The Feminism Expression In Contemporary Animation

In this dissertation,we researched and classified contemporary animation films with feminism expression systematically,and gave two examples: <THE CAT> by Buhua and <DEATH AND MOTHER> by Ruth Lingford.The aim is to provide a multifaceted view on creation and aesthetics.Meanwhile,as supplementary and support for animation theory.Animation,as a branch of art,could analogizes its definition about feminism from feminism arts.“The expression of feminism in animation” means how female define the world they living in,and the ”trend” means that the differences compared with previous anime works by ascending a time line.We analyzed in these aspects: the theme,way of expression,artistic approach,special effects on culture and society.In chapter 1,it showed the purpose and research method.Defined the meaning of “feminism expression in animation”:emotional experiences,female body symbols,their procreation issues in chapter 2.The third part compared these two films in this theory,then drew a conclusion about the “trend” in the title: the transition from internality to transcendence.Hope this paper could guide animation creation and research,especially in feminism prospective in the future.
