In the framework of narrative study,this essay analyzes and studies the studying experience of a Canadian Chinese learner who has learned Chinese for the past eight years,and explores the learning process of a successful Chinese learner as well as his learning motivation,learning objectives,Learning strategies,learning styles and learning concepts in different learning stages,different learning environments and all their mutual influences.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which includes the research background,the purpose and significance of the research and the literature review.The second chapter is about the research design,including the author's five research questions,research methods,research ideas,research objects and the description of the research process The third,fourth,and fifth chapters are the main part of the dissertation.The author divides the learning process of research object F into three stages in chronological order:The third chapter is the first stage of F's learning.This chapter analyzes and discusses its motivation,learning advantage and the relationship between "input" and "output";Chapter four is the second phase of F's learning,this chapter analyzes its learning style and learning strategies,his experience of social learning in the target language environment and its role in promoting F's Chinese learning,as well as his changes of learning motivations;The fifth chapter is the third stage of F's learning.This chapter discusses the process of language learning and cultural adaptation and the impact of cultural experience on learning.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the study and the lack of research.From the perspective of learning motivation,language learning,learning style and learning strategies,the relevance of social learning and classroom learning and cultural adaptation of five aspects summarized the experience and characteristics of F,expect to give Chinese language teachers and learners some inspiration.
